Today is the last day of the year. I am gonna miss 2007!!

My tooth.

OK, I won't go into details about how my tooth dropped out. Just say that my molar tooth was just way too attached to me just like how I was also way too attached to it that it took four jabs of numbing medicine to pull it out so that I would not have a gum infection.

Guess that I would have to put it under my pillow at night so the tooth fairy could trade it for something valuable (yeah right, like tooth fairies exist).

Anyway, on a brighter (or darker, depends on how you see it) note schools starting the next week! Everyone better get prepared!

Heyys... I was playing Maple a few days ago when there was a new christmas event coming up, in a new town called Happyville. I completed the quest and is close to leveling up soon.

Welp, my point is, christmas is just a few days away and it's time to get those presents!

It's been a long time since I posted... the blog's been dead for a while. I alomost forgot my password to my account and it's a bit messy at the moment... just bought my sec 3 books!!!

Anyway, exactly a week ago I had my Goldstar swimming test in Queenstown Swimming pool.

I arrived Queenstown swimming pool bright and early in the wee hours of the morning of 9 December 2007 to get ready for my goldstar test. Looking around me, I found that I was one of the earlier people in my swimming team to arrive. At about 9.30, my coach came to support us for our test. This lifted my mood up a bit. It was a rainy day and the sky wasn't willing to clear up until the afternoon, it seemed. But I was feeling cheery because I was a little overconfident about passing this test, I guess.

Then at about 10.10 our examiner called us to take our attendence. The rain had turned into a drizzle. About 30 of us gathered around him and we took our attendance. Afterwards we were called to the diving pool to do our first item, grabbing our life jackets while in the pool. After grabbing our life jackets we are supposed to lie on our backs and put on the life jacket. That I did, but then the buckles were all mixed up and soon I was a tangled mess. The examiner told me and another girl who had a problem putting on the life jaket to get up and redo the whole thing again. Meanwhile, the others who passed would proceed on to the next part: Jumping from a three metre board. I watched the other people jump from the 3m board, feeling a little left out. I had very badly wanted to do this. After everyone had jumped (with the exception of me and the other girl) the examiner tested the two of us on putting on the life jacket. That I did sucessfully at last, and soon I can proceed to jumping the board. I was the last person to jump, and when I got to the edge of the board holding on to my life jacket as I was instructed to, four words I commented about the board that morning came back to me: "Aiyah, chicken feet lah..." Very Macho right? It doesn't seem very scary right? But then I was scared out of my wits when I did the biggest mistake of my life- I looked down. " Once you are ready, you can go." came the voice behind me. Patient, comforting and the last thing I needed. Determined not to embarrase myself in front of 30 plus people, I jumped in.

An andrenaline rush. And the next thing I knew, I was in the water. Deep in the water. I do not know how far I got in but when I surfaced, everyone was cheering for me. I passed the first task.

The next task was to swim two laps in your pyjamas and tee shirt in 2 minutes 30 seconds, which was quite impossible for me. 3... 2... 1... the whistle blew. I jumped into the swimming pool and swam as fast as I could in breastroke. By the time I completed my first lap, I was lagging behing all the others. Out of breath, I tried swimming as fast as I could in freestyle. I was the last one to reach the wall when the whistle blew to indicate 2 minutes 30 seconds have passed. My timing was 2 minutes... ... 27seconds!!!! I really breathed a huge sigh of relief when I heard my timing because I was sure I was going to fail. I was happy, but breathless.

After a toilet break, we took off our pyjamas and proceeded on with the last task: swimming 30 laps in 45mins. The first ten laps is to swim backstroke, then the next ten to swim sidesrtoke and the rest frontstroke (breastroke, freestyle, butterfly). The whistle blew and I started swimming my laps. The sun was glaring in my face which only made it harder to swim the backstroke. Then when I started to swim my sidestroke, the sun disappeared behind a cloud for quite a long time a the water became quite cold. The elements are not on my side, I thought to myself grumpily. When i started to swim my frontstroke, some people had already finished the test. Suddenly I did not feel so good. I had wanted to take it slow and easy for my front stroke, that is, to swim breastroke for the first five laps then freestyle in the last five, but the examiner told me that I was lagging behind a long way and had to find a way to catch up with the others so that I could pass this test. Meanwhile I was praying to God; Please God, help me pass this test after I had just managed to pass the 2 lap swim.

I was the only one in the pool when I swam my last two laps and convinced myself that I could not pass this test. Anyway I still used the last of my energy to boost myself because I wanted to go home early.

When I got out of the pool, the examiner had a grim expression on his face. Then he broke into a big smile and said, " 43 minutes 39 seconds" I could hardly believe my ears. I had passed the whole test. That must be the greatest day of my life!! I thanked God profusely and went to tell my father the news. He was really glad for me. This test is very important to me as i had spent about 1/4 of my holidays in Queenstown Swimming Pool practising for the test. All my effort had finally paid off. I can rest easy now (:

Testify to Love - Avalon

well, blogger is more or less back to normal and it has been a week since the church camp in sarimbun which was quite eventful. During the 19/20 may church camp, i heard a lot of ghost stories and had a first hand encounter with "ghosts" myself.Anyway i have a few songs to post although my blogskin and the song dont click and i am not usually a song person myself. Enjoy!!


Now these two songs are my big favourites.the first one is called "one way". It has a lot more kick than the second song testify and is my most favourite song in the whole of the camp. The second is called "testify".it has a nice rythm and appropriate beats.well i did not describe those songs properly, did I? so now it is up to you to try and listen to it...but i garuntee that those songs will rock your heart guys!!!ENJOY!!!

today my class very little people.7 people absent.blablabla...this is boring.and you find i am not complaining about the aircon nowadays because it can turn on again yay!!

you know how some words are connected to each other??i mean the first letters of that word. for example:Level Coordinator(LC) and Lance Coporal(LC).lance coporal is me and lavel coodinator is my friend!hahahas! then: Harry Potter(HP) and handphone(HP)...

yah la just writing for fun which makes me think of my (supposed to be) promotion to coporal but i did not come for the promotion ceremony so i cannot be promoted to coporal.sadsadsad :(

Well,this blogger has gone funny...dunno why but when i wanna compose the screen was like urm...the place where the fonts are supposed to be have gone funny...too widely spaced.

YAYSSSSS!!!! today is my birthday!!!!!birthdaybirthdaybirthday!!!!i wanna eat ice-cream,cakes and yummy stuff!!!this morning during p.e. run 2 rounds round the school...then i greet everyone in class when i run past them."good morning isabel" or "good morning jane" and so on lah...then after p.e. is recess.nazihah gave me a present...how nice!!!today in a good mood lah...people are wondering why because i am not the type who goes round saying good morning to just anybody.

got back my chinese results today.40/80.okay i know it is very bad but it is still a good try and at least i scored higher than my last results. the only depressing thing is that i lost 12 marks in the last section because i did not do the questions!!!sadsadsad...

then my english results: 19/30.it is al;so a good try because the english subject is writing a newspaper report and it is okay in my standard...

tomorrow is only the maths paper left...hope that i would do well...

have you ever heard of the "Harry Potter Season"??it is the season where people who love to read harry potter books start to read series after series of harry potter books and would not stop till they have finised?well if there is, mine is ending soon as i am now nearing the conclusion of the "half blood prince" book...it was really interesting.this year's harry potter season for me starts just after the march holidays and ends in may.last years harry potter season starts in february and ends in march if i remember correctly...

besides the harry potter season the is also the exam fever coming up...study hard guys!!!

tomorow i have got history exam coming up.the last two test was a desperate failure...i only manged to scrape a pass which to me was not up to standard as i did very well in my history last year.was it because i was too proud???

anyway this mondays chinese paper was a desperate failue.i did not manage to do the last 4 questions which consistes of 4 marks each...gonna fail...how depressing

anyway lets not talk about my chinese test.this morning just discovered that carmen was going for 2 camps:the church and school camp!i mean those camp dates are both side by side!!!of course i m going for the church camp considering the amount of money i have to pay for the school camp:$100++!!!and the church camp is better too i guess...anyway ultimately i will have to decide on one camp,havent i ??so its church one for me...

now in the library waiting for the npcc campfire to start.only it will start at 6.30,and i have two more hours to wait...

argh...supposed to do dancing and i havent even practised.my moves are so robotic...others are so natural.if by the end of the day i still do very badly in the dancing, i think i will opt out of doing it in the campfire.it can be embarresing...

anyway it is tarting to rain now...i wonder whether we can do the campfire...meybe do it indoors lah...

this morning mr mohammud,the history teacher came into the classroom with depressing news: we have to resit the history paper because the last paper has mistakes.sadsadsad.

i need a break.seriously.the aircon in the library is driving me crazy.this is mavis and now i am under the sweltering heat of the merciless library,trying to concentrate on reading the harry potter book i just borrowed.

then my attention turned to the yearbook sitting on the table and finding nthin interesting to read in harry potter,i took it and flipped the pages,until it arrived at the page featuringthe library.this is what i read:

anyway tomorrow is the harmony @ senja thingy and i am supposed to wear my npc uniform just to greet the important guests coming to my school.what a niusance...

its boring and i am bored to death here.then when i flipped through the yearbook again i noticed the class photos.when i look at myself,well, i seem distracted because i was looking to my left.how stupid.i wish it had been better...jane looked the nicest of the lot...she sorta stands out,xinying was closing her eyes,jing yong was smiling too much,qing yang and yong sheng was standing in a dignified manner,and i,with eyes looking to the left,looked the stupidest.

then there was the home econs test on the second period and i was rattling my wits on how to do the questions.i did not really study lah...last minute work.but its the home econs last lesson and my, am i glad to be outta there!!then after recess was the chinese letterwriting test.i wrote two pages and i am very proud of it.Actually i was blabbering rubbish about CIP (which was the topic) saying that it is not a waste of time (actually in my opinion it is) and we are very happy to help out etc etc.

A few days ago...
it was science lesson.the teacher was missing.everyone was doing arm wrestling.I was doing nothing.just watching arm wrestling matches.boring. Then i challenged Jane. to arm wrestling. I won. then there was a long queue.pople wanting to challenge me. Ying Zhi, one of the stronger irls in arm wrestling challenged me. twice. i won. then some stronger people challenged me. i lost to some people, but i also won some people.

At the end of the day my arm was worn out. Started aching. aches for three days.the worst ache ever.during that time carrying books was a chore.writing was a chore. my poor hand. my poor hand.ohhh...

hi!!Today very obsessed with the TV show Duel Monsters. Has been sketching characters and monsters character when i am free...haha...too obsessed...Anyway the show starts at 4.30 on kids central everyday.What is so good about it?you ask me. Well, the plot is interesting and the bad guys in the show are really what makes the show interesting.And tomorrow is good friday. erm... i am at the library now, doing the library duty (boring) which is actually just sitting on the counter doing nothing but to stare at the computer screen for 3 hours (boring) and this is not the end because staring at the computer screen three hours non stop is enough to make anyone crazy so...well, the cameras arent facing this way, right? i started to do the only thing i can do:that is;blog. Did i mention that the camera is not facing this way???i dont know. I hope it isnt(blabberring rubbish)

My bones are aching. My joints are aching. My skin is sunburnt. Yup, you guessed it: I am back from perak since last evening. Back and worn out. And tired out too. Okay, my purpose of blogging right now is to tell you all about my trip in perak from 14-16 march. Okay, let me start well, from the start.

14th march, 9.30pm

I reached New Park Hotel and took my attendance and filled in the white malaysia card and got back my passport and then hopped on to the bus after putting my bags in a compartment in the bus. Yup, this is going to be an overnight travelling and I am going to sit on the bus the whole night. The bus set off and soon we found ourselves in the immigration area and then in malaysia. I could not sleep the whole night, but I did saw some amazing things. First of all the bus was travelling along a dark road so when i looked out of the window, something made me gasp in awe. It was the number of stars in the sky. There were lots of them. It was a beautiful sight. Imagine a darkened cinema with only small little lights at the ceiling. Yup, thats how it was like. The next big thing was a rocky area the bus drove past. There were lights shining on the rocks which made it so attractive and beautiful.

15th march

A little after 12am the bus stopped at a shopping center and we went in to have a break. I bought a plate of nasi ayam which cost me 5 Ringgit (T_T). Then we set off with a few toilet breaks along the way. Soon, before seven o'clock, we reached GOPENG to have breakfast. And then I think we stood on the back of a truck to head towards GOPENG NATURE RESORT where our base camp is. After we had settled in, an instructor called us and briefed us on the rules and safety and bla during white water rafting. Then we climbed onto the back of the truck to the place where we do the rafting.

To start the white water rafting we devided into groups of five. I am grouped with three malay girls Siti, Dapreet and Fitri. Then Kiat Hong the sir joined us to make up five people in the group. Everyone puts on sunblock except for me. The reason? I hate sunblocks. They stink and they don't work. (The fact that I did not put on my sunblock lotion resulted in the sunburn which you read about earlier). First we did body rafting in which you lie down on the water and the current carry you to the place where our rafts are kept. Then we got onto the rafts and off we go!!! Our instructor is called Mickey. Not mickey mouse. Just mickey i guess. He looked to be about twenty over years old but he told us he was nineteen years old. That shocked us. Whenever we passed the rapids we "high-fived" which means putting our paddles together in the sky. On the way Siti fell down many times and sir had to pull her up. Then we made and agreement to capsize and so Mickey told us to find a place deep enough to capsize. We did. Then we capsized. WOAH!! I swallowed a lot of water!!! It was soo fun! I enjoyed it and climbed up the raft to prepare to capsize again. We capsized many times till we got bored of it. Then we took a break. Meanwhile we took a lot of photos. And then we climbed back to the raft and continued our way to the finishing point of the rafting.

After that we headed to GOPENG NATURE RESORT by the truck and halfway through the trip two NCOs got bitten by leeches. NCOs Joshua and Lina. I did not see the leeches but i only saw a pool of blood. I do not know who squashed the leeches but somehow i felt that they are sort of pitiful. Imagine getting a death sentence after drinking water from a spring. Haha. i know it was lame but i cant help thinking about that.

When we reached that resort we headed to the canteen area and had lunch. Okay, I admit that the food was very unappetising and that NCOs gave us too much veggies but I gobbled them down anyway. I still needed the energy to do the next activity- waterfall abseiling. Then we pitched up our tents and took our stuff (actually there was not much stuff to take)and trekked to ULU GERUNTUN WATERFALLS. We reached the foot of the waterfall and had our briefing. Then the instructor called 12 people out to test out the waterfall abseiling first (actually they volunteered). I did not want to do it first so those who weren't abseiling first climbed halfway up the waterfall to take a look at how those "volunteers" do the abseiling. As I watched the first two people abseiling down the waterfall i felt a rush of andrenaline and suddenly very badly wanted to do the waterfall abseiling. So when some people came back to where we were after abseiling i grabbed the helmet and harness and made a dash for it. The top of the waterfall, to be exact. The hard part was climbing up the slope on the side of the waterfall to (duh) the waterfall. It was so steep and when I grabbed an old rotten tree branch it just crumbled under my hands. Serious. It is not that i am strong like superman or what. Its just that the tree branch is OLD. BLACK. ROTTEN. YUCK. Thanks tree branch, of all the rotten luck I had to grab a rotten tree branch. Anyway, the good news was that the tree branch did not affect my ascend towards the waterfall. The bad news is, what was left on my palm were big pieces of black colour wood and a bit of black goo. urgh. When I reached the top *relieved sigh* the instructor hooked a carabinna onto my harness and told me how to do the abseiling. I was scared and went down super sssslllloooowwwwllllyyyy........ so slowly that i guess by the time i was halfway down the person who started later than me have already reached the bottom...reminds me of a snail.

After that we sat back onto the back of the truck I have grown to love and headed back to GOPENG RESORT where we had our bathtime of more than an hour and dinner and campfire after that. Fortunately for me (but not for others) it started to rain and the campfire was called off. Everyone was tired out and we went back to our tents.Then since our tents are wet we then went to the hut to sleep. It was just then when Lina called us out and we had our games that build up our teamwork and share lame jokes and stuff. Then since we were too tired we retired back to our hut and fell asleep immediately.

16th March

Rise and Shine!!! I woke up at about 6 and changed from the camp clothes that i was given to my Sec 1B class tee. Then i slept some more till before 7 then i woke up and packed my bags. I was sitting next to Hui Shan packing my bags when there was an itchy sensation on my hand. I pulled back my jacket sleeve and saw a big ant. I quickly brushed it off and it disappeared. Then I was about to move towards Hui Shan when I felt a stinging pain on my leg. I quicky pulled up my track pants and saw the big ant! I quickly brushed it and made sure it was on the floor before stamping it WITH MY BARE FEET. heck, what was i thinking??? Goo all over my leg.YUCK. Then I went out from my hut and took some last minute photos.Yeah, this was the hut we slept in. The outer part and the inner part.

Then I went out and took some pictures of the mountains. Since it was morning the clouds are very noticable.

remember that rocky thingy i mentioned in paragraph2? There it is(day view). When we were at the customs i put chewing gum in my pocket and the sensor beeped but when the officer checked me i took out my wallet and told her that this may be the cause of the beeping. She believed me and let me go.whew. Then we reached School and Mr Santokh gave us a debriefing and we went home. This was so fun!! Even as I am writing this blog I already miss Perak. I am definitely going again next year.

YAY!! tonight going to Perak!!! to tell you the truth, I am psyched but well, i am just too lazy to pack. maybe i will pack in the afternoon but if i am too lazy then what shall i pack? i dont feel like packing you know. Just lazing around waiting for 9.00 to come haha.

Anyway i am writing this blog not to talk about perak but just to wish all primary and secondary school kids a HAPPY SCHOOL HOLIDAY!!!!

The malacca trip is tomorrow. I am not going of course.then fire alarm. false alarm.i hate false alarms. mrs yip told us to evacuate to the field. i did not cos i dont wanna go down six floors and come up again. so i continued doing my work, ignoring that ****** FIRE ALARMS. in the end i had to go out cos mrs yip told us to. After taking attendance i do not bother to go up to my classroom again. i was thinking that fire alarms could come in handy when you want to you know, cause panic in the school. unfortunately, i am not a panicky sort of person.false alarm or not, i will stay put IN THE CLASSROOM.the only thing i am afraid of is *********(guess it for yourself :) )

Hello guys yesterday things not going very well because home econs was a disaster. Again. I did not study module two so...well, you know, dont you???After school i went to the library and at about 1:15 the meeting started and the teacher, miss ang droned on and on and on and on and I was like not really paying attention until i looked at my watch: 2.10!!!Oh the h*** I AM GOING TO MISS NPCC!!!I raised up my hand and said I really need to go now and miss ang said that is out of the question.Then Jill saved me and said that I have to go for another cca and so i ran into the workroom and grabbed my bags and changed and went to npcc. To cut a story short, I was late but luckily my nco did not see me. Thanks, Jill.

Our NCO is Joshua. A sec 3. Staff seargent. Not so fierce. Takes catechism in the same church as me. Other than that I dont know much about him although he was our NCO since last year. But yesterday he seemed a bit different. A bit stressed. When no one volunteered to be the timer he shouted at us and my, was he fierce. He never did that before. But as I said before, he seemed a bit stressed. Or maybe the older NCOs said that he had to be fiercer. These are probably the reasons he well, became fiercer. then in the end he practically begged us. But we are a stubborn lot, I guess, because none of us wanted to be a timer, or take over as a timer. So pumping positions. Did that about three times. Somebody's lips bled. another did not feel well. I got a sunburn. Ouch!!!my skin was hurting since yesterday and it is hurting even now as i am writing this. It hurts man!! I wonder if I am able to go swimming tommorow.

Anyway catechism is tommorow. My catechism teacher is called mr Linus. He looked old and always conducts his lesson with papers with notes written on it that seemed like answers for a science workbook. His assistant is Russell. Not Russell Lee. But to be precise, Shawn Russell. I heard that he is a rich guy, but I am not sure lah.

And to add more drama, I just lost my school badge and hairband.Frantically searched for it. Finally found it. such a boring drama. Thats cause I am bored thats why my story is so boring.

hi you bubs, today my school day is not going quite well, well. For one thing, Home Econs is on the first and second period and i had to make green curry, which, well, lets say I never liked curry. Especially green ones.The end result is: curry doesn't look green. More like shit. Not that I am insulting the people who helped me make the curry, But i am just stating what I saw after opening the container to show my folks during lunch.

anyway, no use putting the blame on them. They are after all stating the facts and to tell you the truth, it puts me off too (sorry, you guys who helped). Anyway, making the curry took longer than I thought and well, you could say the curry ate into my recess instead of me eating it(geddit?its not funny T_T).If you like a photo of it I could provide you one but I cant because I dont want to.

But still, kudos to those who helped me out: Miss Yee(how can I miss her out?), Hamizah, Benjamin, Qing Yang and some others I can't remember(although you all helped me out under miss yee's order, you all stayed back and showed helpfulness, perserverence, responsibility and i shall never forget that).

After recess was the geography test and I almost freaked out when I saw the questions. Obviously, I havent been studying and so, if you have experienced that before, you would know what it means. MP4 after that and then CD period. I got back the photos that were taken a few weeks ago. At first I thought it was nice, but on closer inspection... ... ...erm... hmm ... ...argh!!!!!!! I look sooo smug!!! My smile was tilted on to one side and... urgh I am not saying anymore.

Anyway after school and the curry deal I changed out of my uniform and oh no!!! I left my precious photos in my uniform pocket and the washing machine was washing all those clothes and oh my doG my photos are being washed!! I quickly rushed to the washing machine and turned off the powerpoint and started searching through the wet clothes and there they are! Like a pile of gold lying amongst those jumbled mess of clothes and uniforms, my PHOTOS!!! Fortunately my photos are in a little airtight bag, so they are only a bit wet. Of course after that I had to explain to my grandma what I was doing with the washing machine and it took well, quite a long time. After that I turned on the computer and with nothing to do on the net, I started writing this. So if you want anymore stories, that will have to wait.

Hi guys!!! I did not blog for so long, which is okay with me, because i am soooo lazy nowadays. Thinking about it, why did I start to blog only now? cos I have got nothing to do. And when I have got nothing to do I start to blog. haha. Thats lame I know but what else can I write???

Oh yes, I frogot to tell you that I am starting to study hard(at last) and am no longer in the 'holidaying' mode so three cheers for me. The sad thing is that I did not go for the npcc family night aka promotion night so i do not know whether i was promoted which is sad for me (but I dont think it will affect you at all).anyway i am writing this down for well, the sake of writing this down.
